In the case of Walters v. Weiss, the United States Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit held that federal law governing state division of child support agencies did not give receipients of child support a right to force the agencies to distribute funds they collect in strict compliance with federal law which requires distribution within two days. Nor does the same federal law prohibit receipients from being charged with administrative fees and costs and having agency over pay errors recouped from their payments.
