A four way conference is a face to face meeting between divorce attorneys and their clients usually designed to advance settlement negotiations in a case. It can be helpful but should be approached cautiously depending on the decision-making style of the client and the power dynamics of the spousal relationship. I generally do not recommend face to face meetings if there has been domestic violence or other spousal abuse.
